I love watching you work on this game. I have friends who have seen pixel art of mine and wished I was programming video games for them. I really want to learn programming, but it's incredibly daunting to get started, so I'm just going to wait the few months until I'm in college and can take coding classes. Anyways, watching you progress is really interesting and inspiring, so far everything is really cool, keep it up!
…Wow! Thanks!! The thought of any of my posts being inspiring to someone is amazing, I’m so glad you think so! Right now I’m using a program called Game Maker 8 to make my little pixel things and that uses its own simple coding structure (game maker language) and has a lot of built in things that can help but I’m also taking classes in other programming languages as a part of my Games Technology degree. Too be honest I’m not that great at it! My background is a lot of art and writing and creative stuff so I’m just more inclined to spend time coming up with ideas rather than… Well, doing them.
Game Maker is a great way to start if you want to learn the basics, I think. You should try it! I will be watching :|
